When you use myPatch, we collect:
Your name and email address (for account creation and magic link authentication)
Your postcode (to look up local weather and frost dates via postcodes.io)
Your planting data, harvest logs, grow diary entries, and garden bed configuration
Photos you upload to your grow diary
All data is stored on servers operated by Simplepage, located in the United Kingdom. We do not transfer your data outside the UK.
We use the following third-party services:
Open-Meteo - receives your postcode area (not full postcode) to provide weather forecasts. No personally identifiable information is shared.
postcodes.io - converts your postcode to latitude/longitude for weather lookups. This is a free UK government service.
Brevo - sends magic link emails and daily task reminder emails on our behalf.
We use passwordless authentication. When you sign in, we send a one-time magic link to your email address. These tokens expire after 15 minutes and can only be used once.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
Export your data - use the CSV export feature in the Profile tab
Delete your account - contact us and we will remove all your data
Access your data - request a copy of all data we hold about you
Rectify your data - update your profile information at any time
