No AI your data stays yours

Your garden data stays yours.

myPatch is not AI-powered. We don't feed your data into machine learning models, sell it to third parties, or use it to train algorithms.

Your sowing dates, harvest weights, and garden plans belong to you. Our recommendations come from verified UK growing data and real soil temperature readings, not from pattern-matching across other people's gardens.

No tracking. No data harvesting. No AI black box. Just gardening.

Not just "tomatoes" - your actual variety

Other apps say "sow tomatoes in March". We know Sungold goes in 2 weeks before Moneymaker.

Your seeds don't care what the weather forecast says. They care what the soil feels like.

Air temperature swings wildly day to day. Soil temperature changes slowly and predictably - and that's what determines whether your seeds germinate or rot.

myPatch uses real soil temperature data from Open-Meteo, matched to your postcode, to tell you exactly when conditions are right for each variety.

Example UK soil temperatures
London 14.2°C
Manchester 11.8°C
Edinburgh 9.4°C
Cardiff 12.6°C

Your morning briefing, tailored to your patch

Every day, myPatch checks the weather at your postcode, looks at what you're growing and where it's at, and tells you exactly what needs doing.

No guessing. No searching. Just open the app and get on with it.

What is myPatch and how does it work?

What is myPatch and how does it work?

myPatch tells UK gardeners what to do in their garden today, based on the real soil temperature at their postcode rather than the calendar. It holds 240+ UK crop varieties, each with its own sowing window, depth, spacing and minimum germination temperature, and it tracks what you have actually sown.

Every morning at 7am it generates a dated task list — sow, pot on, harden off, water deeply, net against pigeons — from your plantings, the weather forecast and the time of year. The recommendations come from verified growing data, not from a language model.

How does myPatch provide personalised daily garden tasks?

The task engine reads three things: the weather and soil temperature for your postcode, the growth stage of each crop you are growing, and what you have already done. It then works out what actually needs doing today, rather than what a generic calendar says should be done this month.

Weather comes from Open-Meteo, keyed to your postcode, so a frost warning or a dry spell is local to your garden and not a national average. If the soil is still at 8°C, myPatch will not tell you to sow French beans — it waits until the ground is warm enough for them to germinate.

What harvest tracking features does myPatch offer?

What harvest tracking features does myPatch offer?

Log what you pick, with weights and dates, and myPatch keeps a running record of the season. It values each harvest against typical shop prices, so you can see what the plot is actually returning.

Over time you can compare years, see which varieties performed on your soil, and use that to decide what to grow again. The data is yours — it is never shared, never sold, and never used to train anything.
